Troughout the years, I have configured a personal vocabulary of performance objects; and though their significance depends upon the context of each work, some stable meanings tend to persist.

• Tuning fork: the audible world, the process of human comunication.
Hourglass: the passing of time as an irreversible act.
Magnifier lens: the act of paying attention to small details, the underlying weakness of old truths.
Lead weight & Fishing line: the connection between different (and conflicting) realities, gravity as the unifiying force.
Surveillance camera: the perception of the other in the 21st century, the sense of distrust and fear, technollogy as a vehicule of scrutiny.
Salt bag: the carrier of mysterious / ancient (often ignored) messages
Pulley: the ability to act like a transient messenger in the real world.
Compass: the omnipresent sense of geography, the world as a unique entity, regardless of race and language.
Salt: the act of presevation through time and space, the inherent weakness of the artist as a provider of answers.
